This vast savannah is home to herds of antelope and is the heart of the cattle operation. While having the capacity to support many more units most years, the year-round cattle operation has averaged approximately 300 head cow/calf herd. This size herd is easily managed and has benefited the quality and density of grasses. Cross-fencing allows for good rotation and with some improvements, there could be even greater capacity. There are wells and springs in multiple locations to serve cattle and wildlife.
